Remember the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Street Session post from last week?
On that session I photographed a few scenes including the production crew shooting for Cesar Millan’s show DogNation. I handed Neal my card after I made some photos of them and told him I’d send him a couple. I thought it would be nice for them to show their family and friends what they do.
Honestly I wasn’t expecting an email but sure enough I got an email that evening. I sent him a few photos and long story short, he told me they would be filming a live episode at Ruocco Park that Saturday.
Saturday came around and I had a blast talking with guys on the crew and seeing the full blown production. I even got to meet Andre Millan, Cesar’s son. Andrew was a super chill guy with an obvious passion for the well being of dogs.
This is why I love street photography. You never know who you will meet and how a single (or handful of) photo(s) can help you make that human connection.
OK OK check out the photos.
Shout out to Andre, Neal, Hansi, Andrew (The real Thor), and Rodrigo! Thanks for making me feel welcomed on set.
